Admission Essay
My interest in calculations and mathematics developed in my childhood when I observed him working with figures in various financial statements and stock trends. In school, I easily managed to solve difficult equations that took pretty long time from my classmates. Thus, I realized that figures and finance are my two greatest passions and talents, and that I should proceed with my education in this field.
I believe I am a perfect candidate for the Ruby School of Management as my goal completely coincides with its mission. I am passionate about becoming a well-qualified specialist who can succeed in the field of innovation, collaboration and knowledge. Being only a high school student, I conducted a small independent research on probability. I wondered how mathematics can be applied in the real life. Therefore, I created a dice game in a casino and modeled it using probability. I wanted to run the best games for both of the perspectives: a player and a casino. For this, I needed to assess the optimal payments for the player and playouts by the casino. I introduced variables, modeled a dice game and did some mathematical operations in order to compare their winning rates. This simple model gave me an understanding that I really enjoy the process of learning math theories with the perspective of applying them in practice. Such experience fueled my passion to math and statistics and demonstrated that such knowledge can be very useful in our everyday life.
Therefore, the Ruby School of Management is a perfect place for advancing my entrepreneurial skills by hitting three targets – knowledge, collaboration and innovation. I am looking forward to the beginning of my learning process which offers me the best professors’ advice, the perfect facilities and the ideal environment for improvement and development. I am sure that all challenges and opportunities during my student life will become a prerequisite of my success.
