There are diverse groups of people who consisted of the tribe of Sasan. The people that firmed this society ranged from beggars, conmen, beggars, singing girls and many more groups of personalities in the society. These people had divergent ways through which they made ends meet. It did not matter the methods through which these people earned a living. The end justified the means. It did not matter to them provided they managed to put bread on the table.
Murmu (98) records that Abu Dulaf a poet, who lived in this society, developed a poem that he used to describe the activities that happened in the society. In the poem, says that they are the beggar's brotherhood and non ca deny them that pride. He says that they are always considered as being mad men and women yet they are not. It is their nature does engage in the type of activities that they engage into.
He says that the people are liars in that they use fake bandages so that they get help from the unsuspecting citizens. When they put on the fake bandages, then they are given food and other materials that they need in their daily lives. The beggars are smart. Nobody can beat them in their business. In the poem, he further says that there is also a group of who uses mysterious means to earn income. All in all, in the poem, the writer describes the people who use the unorthodox means to earn income. He says that anybody who fails to realize the wit in these people might fail to understand how the people of Tribe of Sasan operate. People, therefore, ought to know that these people are very wise.
Apart from the group mentioned, there are also another group of people referred to as the singing girls. These ladies also earn a living through singing. They have managed to live just through the singing that they do. The writer puts it that the passion for the singing girls is dangerous. It is because the way in which their manifold excellences in the satisfaction that one finds in them. Whenever a person attends those places, the singing ladies are always able to entice and lure them into doing whatever service that they need. Be it sex, alcohol or anything, the singing, they always did it perfectly that it became very hard for one to resist the urge. You find yourself doing it. These people had unique that they could use to lure anybody into doing whatever they felt like doing.
This article, therefore, by a large percentage looked at the way in which these people earned their living. The issue of morality has also been talked about in the article. The people are not morally upright. They use dubious means to make ends meet. These people go the extent that they even prostitute to find their daily bread. These are not norms that are always tolerated in the Muslim society. Some people even can con other others.
There are very few people in this society who are straight forward. In most cases, they were badly brought up most of these bad acts were even done by the elderly. The shame that this group of people brings on themselves is the reason the writer of the poem never wanted to be identified with the poem. He says that the ideas he writers are not from his point of view, but he heard about them. The truth of the matter however is that he was with them and witnessed these situations.
