COMMENT ON ASTD
Classmate (Shin) 1 Question 1:
As the Central Military Commission is under the CCP, I believe that it would indeed be very difficult for any one group to move beyond the CMC and threaten the political establishment.
Classmate (Shin) 1 Question 3:
Classmate (Shin) 1 Exercise 1 – Internal Unrest:
The PLA’s capabilities have had its limits tested as it has been called upon to rapidly respond to internal unrest, natural disasters and the territorial actions of its neighbors (Skobell & Nathan, 2012). The student failed to indicate how the PLA expects to respond to such wide-ranging demands.
Classmate (Stephanie K) 2 Question 2:
I agree with the student’s expression that the PLA has come to the realize that the acquirement, destruction, and/or interference of other nations’ information technologies are key assets that are to be integrated and maximized within the overall PLA structure (Baiwa, 2013).
COMMENT ON ASTD
Classmate (Stephanie K) 2 Question 3:
The student was overly optimistic as she failed to show how recent economic growth declines, currency struggles and stock market fluctuations have negatively impacted one of the Three Represents - that of positive economic growth and productivity.
Classmate (Stephanie K) 2 Exercise 1 – Internal Unrest:
The student failed to show how China would respond to a similar event as that of the 1989 uprising in today’s climate of widespread social media usage.
