Policy
Having increased of prosecutorial powers well as the number of police, this becomes a method of controlling crime. Therefore, crime control policies implicate wholly enforcement actions either by administration of the criminal justice system or law enforcement. The system of administration of criminal justice may involve correction facilities or courts (Ismaili, 2011). The police have developed policies as well as strategies that account effectiveness to the control and management of crime.
In their policies, they involve crime analysis; here they provide research that focus on answering to crime control on how crimes occur. In crime analysis, they involve specialist disciplinary fields such as ecological theory practitioners and environmental criminology. The policies help to investigate and focus on crime patterns, therefore, providing techniques as well as knowledge that inform on strategic responses hence resourcing decision that are very important to maintain a justifiable and actual services (Ismaili, 2011).
Program
Police crime control programs are effective against all crimes and offenders, as well. The programs involve planning, location and measure of effectiveness. Planning enhances effectiveness and focus in the manner in which the results are predictable to be attained. Locations provide geographical areas in which the programs will be implemented. Measures of effectiveness are of two categories, there is internal and external (Ismaili, 2011). External measures relay on the success of the program in disputing crime during internal measures relay on the way in which the program attained its outcomes.
Practice
Police crime control practice has a core focus that, in their research, there must be a practical application to the police who are operationally accountable for crime control. The police work, however, concentrates on practitioners as well as on the institutions of justice. Here, they provide tools to be used, techniques, and training that provide working environment and skills that enhance good and effective crime control practices and mainstream policies (Ismaili, 2011).
