1. My insight here is that forming connections with people and animals is life-changing and worthwhile. I am comparing connections with various people and animals to extreme situations and beautiful images.
2. My chosen insight is that maintaining a friendship takes a lot of work but is the most valuable connection you could have. Through metaphors and similes, I have shown that true friendships are hard to find but provide a sense of identity, belonging and comfort.

4. Random Brain Storming
I opened the book closest to my bed and pointed to a random word: Vicar. Four characters are as follows:
Vicky: a tomboy eco-warrior who meets forest animals and helps them to save habitats. Each week a different wild animal approaches her and speaks of its worries. For example, in one episode, an orangutan meets Vicky and tells her about its habitat being lost due to palm oil production. She sets out to save his world.
Vixen: a quick-witted city fox who interjects (and therefore prevents) crimes around London. Vixen is seen chasing robbers away from banks, into the hands of the police. However, she then vanishes each time, therefore retaining her elusive reputation.
Vicar: a man who loses a bet and ends up accidentally becoming a vicar as a result. He becomes used to his identity over time, especially as people actually call him ‘Vicar.’ His previous name, Brian, is soon completely forgotten. The cartoon is actually quite serious – it symbolizes the brainwashing that can occur within organized religion.
Vix: an abstract character who looks rather like the cream that you can put on your chest when you have a cold. She is a jar with arms and legs, and a smiley face. Vix is slippery and helps to clear people’s noses. She appears on health leaflets and television adverts, promoting good hygiene in order to prevent children contracting colds and coughs. She has a soothing voice, to reflect the soothing nature of the cream.
