The family health assessment is an essential tool that can be used by a health practitioner to collect data on a family and design a holistic care plan that can assist the family as a unit live a healthy life and prevent illnesses. They are spiritual family since every Sunday they go to church and in the evening they invite relatives for dinner. Spirituality and family meetings are their source of strength since they bring the family together and boost their self-worth. They usually pray and share the bible together before they retire to bed at 10.00pm and working up at 6.00am. The family has a strong appetite for rice and fast food. They have a normal elimination pattern. However, recently, Mr. T was diagnosed with high blood pressure and as part of the treatment plan; he was advised to quit smoking.
Part two
The Mr. T hardly participates in physical exercise and he smokes. These are major contributors and risk factors to high blood pressure. Secondly, the family has a soft spot for consuming rice and fast food. This poor diet practice could expose the family to illnesses such as diabetes and obesity. The family ought to continue with the family prayers and meetings since they boost their relationship with others and self-esteem.
