Question 1: Create your own examination question. State the question clearly and then proceed to answer
What are the Relationships between Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship?
Creativity is defined as an ostensible capability that an individual commands to spur him or her in achieving certain tasks. Thus, this critical element often integrates portfolios like the extent of knowledge that an individual commands, a person’s intellectual abilities, critical thinking paradigms, a personality that on exhibits, and the predisposed work environment that one is exposed to while at work. In addition, creativity involves displaying these rare skills through upholding most elements discussed above. The concept of being creative depends on one’s ability to realize the deficiencies in his work environment, and make positive changes by applying his core skills within a given discipline (In Book, & In Phillips, 2013).
Innovation involves a four-tire stage of preparation, followed by incubation, illumination, and final verification of processes. The core techniques for innovation involves adopting creative problem solving skills, and this factor is integral of finding the mess, detailing the problem, idea generation and solution finding in any paradigm of thinking, and a viable action planning. In an apparent summary of innovation, this process is deemed to involve an individual, a process, a given product, the ability of an individual, and the persuasiveness that one command (Handbook of Research on Entrepreneurship and Creativity, 2014). The concepts of innovation and creativity are extricable entwined, and an individual is deemed as entrepreneurial when he is able to apply his or her creative attribute sin making significant innovative platforms.
Therefore entrepreneurship is a bridge between these two concepts, and it includes tmanifestation of both cognitive and behavioral steps beginning from a point of incepting a rough business idea to the realization of the business activity. Creativity and entrepreneurship share commonality in the sense that they both invoke the central idea of persuasion. The creative concept invokes a litany of problem finding paradigms, and it is the same paradigm that entrepreneurial ideas have, especially when it comes to its literature in finding an opportunity or recognition of elemental opportunity. Indeed, these three concepts have similarities in application, and conceptual ideas.
Question 2: Personal Reflection
I have learned a greater degree of insights and concepts out of the three topics evaluated in the examination question above. The first element that I have captured in this solution relates to the independent definition of creativity as a process that invokes the manifestation of intellectual ability, knowledge, style of thinking among other dynamics. Besides, I have gained a significant insight to the concept of innovation as a four-tier process, and that these four elements are fundamental to the manifestation of creative ideas (In Book, & In Phillips, 2013). The third insight on this question that I have given an attention refers to the creativity for problem solving techniques.
Offering solutions to existing problems invokes his creativity, and a sense of reasoning. The rationale behind this concept is to offer the most viable solution that would amicably meet the intended problem. In addition, offering solutions to problems is the highest stake of creativity in a person. Whether through design or conceptual mindset, the most important element of creativity is to give a solution to an existing problem. In addition, offering solution to critical problems would arise at both individual and managerial levels. Both creativity and offering solutions to problems are two concepts that meet the entrepreneurial demands. In addition, from this exam I learned that the concept of creativity entails certain elements, which are well-fared within a theoretical paradigm. The componential theory of creativity is well in line with the stipulations of creativity and entrepreneurial concept, and both terms work together for the sake of value addition, and offering sustainable solutions to various problems (In Book, & In Phillips, 2013). A perfect correlation between entrepreneurship and creativity is yet another significant attribute that I learn from thus exam. In this context, I learned that an entrepreneur will rely on his creative skills in order to realize sustainable designs and solutions to his problems.
Other than the concerns of creativity, this exam has been very impactful towards the realization of the correlation between innovation and entrepreneurship. Indeed, an entrepreneur must be innovative in order to translate his ideas and proposed solutions into perspective. This means that actual solutions given by the entrepreneur are the result of innovative skills that he applies (Handbook of Research on Entrepreneurship and Creativity, 2014). Thus, the major correlation between these three concepts has been my main lesson derived from the examination question.
Importance of MBA 651 Courses in General
Other than the examination question above, I have learned a significant degree of lessons from the MBA 651 course. One of the most fundamental ideals of this unit is the process of becoming an entrepreneur. From the course, I realized that being an entrepreneur revolves around the concepts of creativity and innovation. Being able to realize a solution out the existing problem, and meeting these demands with an appropriate measure is all about the entrepreneurial portfolio. In addition, I learned about different theoretical constructs of entrepreneurial manifestation at both the Individual and organizational levels. Finally, this course has been impactful in generating key ideas behind being a successful entrepreneur, and with these insights of creativity, and innovation I believe that I will be a successful entrepreneur in my future career.
