Chapter Three:
Identification of Problem or Issue
Kenagy affirms that for healthcare management to be successful, there should be a proper prediction, designing and implementation of the plans laid for the future. Which is of significance to everyone in the health sector and the patients they serve (3). A change in the management of the facility leads to improved services for the people. The improvement will automatically translate to lower costs for the services provided to the patients and therefore, these changes benefit them significantly. The Adoptive Design that the author introduces can be a useful tool that ensures appropriate results if added in healthcare because it is safer, easier, more effective and efficient with higher and lower cost.
Making Connections
The expectations in most of the health care facilities are that services are quite slow and expensive for most of the people to afford especially for those with complicated procedures to be done. The new idea that is presented by the author is the autonomy given to the care providers. The ability of them is experimenting with viable solutions to the current problems that face the hospital. I am willing to consider this research. It seems like those workers who deal with the patients daily have a better chance at giving better and lasting solutions to the problems faced.
Interpretation of Evidence
The introduction of automatic applications in modern healthcare in facilitated forms of computers autonomous system improve faster and are cost benefits that are yet to be realized. These approaches are for ensuring patient within the healthcare centers. Using the structure-process-outcome model, similarities in shortcoming will be evident and may indicate a change in the arrangement of health centers.
While referring to the case that involves Bill, the author proposes various healthcare advancements in areas that include operational management, information management, strategic planning and service delivery (Kenagy 2). The nurse using modern technology to book in Bill leaves him surprised at how fast the process has become since he had been there.
Chapter Four:
Challenge Assumption
The primary assumption presented by the writer is the ability of the personnel to pick up the set changes and Implement them. It is important to provide healthcare operators with the capacity to link observed needs in quality healthcare workers with the ability to connect healing actions that help in improving quality. The usual assumption is that when changes are brought in, they will be followed to last one which is not usually the case.
The main challenges that I would pose for the author are which makes more sense between developing people and building better innovations. From the writing, it seems contradictory. The adaptive design strategy works best in teaching the health care workers to use the available technology to the benefit of the patients majorly.
Making Applications
In light of the rapid change currently experienced in new technological skills based on medical grounds, makes more sense on how things should be done. For example, the need for enterprise-wide distributed processing is becoming more important in supporting the flow of information horizontally, vertically and between healthcare organizations (Kernick 123).
What what a change in the way management deals with the employees is significant to ensure that the objectives are met diligently. I would guarantee to articulate all aspects including; reorientation of the people to problem-solving. The inclusion of technologic advancements to make services better.
