MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS
Scientific/classical management
The Scientific/classical management method of management was developed by Fayol where he used an acronym to come up with something standard. This was POSDCRB. Firstly, as a leader, you must plan all your objectives and develop all the necessary ways that will help you achieve. This is very importance as it defines your level of success.
A leader has to organize self with the employees. Here, the leader must come up with a clear way of doing things. This could be a manual or procedure that defines all the steps that are required to be followed in order to achieve a specific goal. A leader must ensure that he has the required number of staff members. This requires an organization to recruit and train its entire staff so as to equip them with the required skills. It is the role of a leader to direct all his staff by giving those orders on how to achieve a specific objective. A concrete decision has to be made by the leader involved. Coordination of all activities in an organization is also important in helping to achieve the set goals.
Moreover, reporting of the final findings and results by the employees enables a leader to evaluate the level of success in an organization. Finally, budgeting plays an important role in management too. It involves fiscal planning of all activities, keeping record of all activities and finally taking control of everything that is revolving around the organization
Human relation
The Human relation theory was developed by Henry in his studies where he argued that bosses who treat their employees badly were on the risk of losing them to their competitors. This is evident as we study the current state of affairs especially in the health sectors and Information Technology. Strong management leads to achievement of the established policies. However, at this stage, teamwork is very important and crucial to achieve this. Employees need to be appreciated and motivate in their line of duty. This means giving them better pay and favorable working conditions. It ensures job satisfaction and commitment from these employees. Hence, a leader should ensure that all his employees are treated in the way in the working environment as this will have a great impact on them.
Human resource and system theories
A leader should adopt number of styles and communication skills to ensure his or her success in a given organization. He must exercise power and authority to his juniors and assign them roles and responsibilities according to their level of skills. By the end of the day, it will help them achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. Hence, the manager is the caretaker of the company’s welfare and management. Further, he must exercise authority over his juniors at different levels of management.
The leader is also supposed to ensure that there is conducive working environment for everyone in the organization. Teamwork also defines the level of success in an organization. Staff members should effectively and efficiently coordinate themselves to ensure that all the expected goals are achieved. Employees also require consistency in their management and operation in an organization. The management is required to orient then through the right steps to ensure consistency.
