Summary: Write a 150- to 350-word short essay addressing the following: Why do so many cultures have divinities in similar roles?
Research has shown that different cultures have divinities in similar roles. The reason for this fact has not been clearly found out due to the difference in cultures. Several arguments have been put forward trying to explain this fact. The main reason being different cultures have different divinities mainly because each culture tries to talk about its origin through these divinities. This can be said as the reason why we have different divinities for different cultures with similar roles.
The reason why these divinities have similar roles is because they try to explain similar things such as how communities came into being or how the earth and all that is in it came into being. The occurrences being explained by the divinities are somehow involved and this is what makes them similar across different cultures. The divinities being talked about are “godlike” characters. They guided these cultures through different ways but occupying similar positions among the cultures. This explains why these cultures have divinities in similar roles.
