The American Revolution saw African Americans come under the control of the American states rather than the British Empire. As a result, the African Americans were recruited into the American states forces in order to fight against the armies of the British Empire. Essentially, African Americans were not treated equally as the natives as the race differences placed superiority attitudes on the natives. The African Americans therefore came under influence and control of the natives.
Impact of American Revolution on Native Americans
The Native Americans enjoyed civil rights and other privileges once the revolution started and ended. The natives achieved freedom after the revolution since they gained independence from the control of the British Empire. Therefore, the revolution led to achievement of civil rights and distinct privileges for the Native Americans.

Common sense and declaration of independence ensure propagated the aspect of equality for all people. By common sense, all people were regarded as equal in all terms regardless of their many possible differences like race and color among other differences. Declaration of independence provided for equal civil and otherwise appropriate rights and privileges for all people. This was in recognition of the efforts of all in fighting against colonialism and achieving freedom for all people eventually.

Thomas Jefferson presidency could be considered a revolution in that it made various reforms addressing different developments to help the country grow economically, socially, and otherwise as appropriate. However, his presidency did not necessarily deliver an empire of liberty as he envisioned because slavery did not just come to an immediate end as expected. Discrimination against races continued despite the provisions made to ends such practices.
