Abortion rates and Education
The world has seen an increase in literacy level in the recent past. In the same light, the rates of illegal and lawful abortions are increasing day by day. It is, therefore, right to state that education levels do not decrease the rates of abortions procured around the world.
Abortion decisions are mostly informed by situations rather than knowledge of the consequences. USA has one of the largest learned and informed populations, but this has not prevented them from legalizing and increasing abortion rates. Sexual reproduction classes in schools and colleges have born less impact in reducing abortion rates. Despite knowledge about contraceptives, the youth still continues to lead in the number of people acquiring abortions. Every woman procuring an abortion is well aware of the risks, they’re educated but still, 68,000 women die some under-trained doctors (Grimes).
Libertarianism and Age
Libertarianism is the sense of independence one acquires with time. As each individual or state grow up, there’s need to be independent of others and need to define oneself (Boaz, 2). Therefore, it is true to state that libertarianism increases with the increase in age or with changing time.
As time goes by, privacy and need for independent thoughts become part of the society and individuals. Libertarianism sometimes depends on the level of education, society and regulations. The right to vote in most countries that did not exist is the greatest expression of libertarianism at work. Only a few states in the world don’t vote in leaders, but the trend will change over time. Individuals being allowed to vote for whom they want without any restrictions. This concept has also been defined by introduction of human rights that protect human choice and actions.
Multipolarity and War
Multipolarity consolidates powers for a state or region making it powerful and influential. Therefore, multipolarity is likely to cause war between nations.
With a united front, the urge to show the power may incline nations to get into a war. Multi-polarity is colonialism redefined. It makes countries want more leading to oppression of another which results in constrained relationships and eventually a war by the oppressed to try and regain their freedom. The major cause of discomfort is brought about in resource sharing (Midlarsky, 44-68).
In another perspective, war can also cause multipolarity. War gives states or warring groups chances to impress and gain new allies or territory. War, therefore, consolidates power regions for a state or group. Weak countries will support a stronger power consolidating its authority (Midlarsky, 92-130).
