The biggest challenge that almost all corporate entrepreneurships face is the lack of support from the top management in the organization. Corporate entrepreneurship requires a lot of funding. Without adequate funding, the idea and knowledge the employees have will not be put into action, meaning failure.
The other obstacles include the uncertainty surrounding rewards. Since employees inject their personal knowledge and come up with better business ideas, the manner they get compensated normally remains uncertain. For corporate entrepreneurship to be a success, the organization must ensure that they stipulate the ways their hardworking employees will get compensated.

It is the responsibility of the middle managers to coordinate the activities undertaken during corporate entrepreneurship. Some of these activities include the identification of the employees with the most viable business ideas. It is also the role of the middle manager to ensure that all the required resources such as funds and human resources are allocated to ensure that the process of corporate entrepreneurship run smooth. Finally, a middle manager has a bigger role to play to ensure that the process of corporate entrepreneurship is communicated to the top management. Therefore, a middle manager should act as the link between the employees and the top management.
