My idea is that airlines should give students a significantly low fare in order for them to go home during class breaks.
The First step will be to find an airline that is willing to pursue this idea.

In order to acquire a cheaper but good quality education, some college students are required to live far away from home for a whole semester. This case is evident especially for foreign exchange students and students who have been granted a scholarship to a university far away from home. The decisions being made by both the students and their parents are quite difficult because many factors such as safety and adjustment to a new environment, as well as the capability of the student to become independent from their parents, are being considered. Even though the development of communication technology has always been a possible solution for them to regularly get in touch for one another, for most parents and students, going home especially during univestiy breaks is still the best option to spend the times when they are free from academic loads and stress. However, due to the high fare cost of airlines nowadays, this option, most of the time, is not being considered and the students, as a consequence, will be confined with long distance communication while being forced to stay within or near their universities’ vicinity for the whole duration of the break.
As a proposed solution, a cheaper fare for airlines will the most affordable option for the students and parents alike. In order to pursue this, however, is to find an airline company that is willing to provide flights that are significantly lower and budget-friendly for the students.
Nowadays, there are several airline companies in different continents which provide a student-friendly fares. For example, AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline of 2015 (Skytrax), had come in terms with 20 Malaysian public universities with an agreement which benefits both the staffs and the students in terms of having a low-cost fares with the airline. The programme is called Waran Perjalann Udara Awam, or WPUA, and it already started giving affordable trips for registered students who wanted to go back to their hometown during university breaks. The programme has already 20 country destinations and continues to expand the program in the upcoming years (Madhukar).
Because the fare is significantly cheaper compared to other commercial flights, students will be able to afford the cost and the chances of going home will increase (Eurocheapo). In addition, programs such as this, like the other low-cost airlines, will be available six months prior to the desired time of flight and the students will be able to plan early for their trip back home (Juniorsmith). With these benefits, the students will be able to save money for the flight in an adequate period of time and they will also be able to notify the parents in advance. Moreover, since the flight is scheduled already, the students will not have to worry about finding available flights and they can focus on their student duties long before the anticipated homecoming. Also, the quality of service of these flights is assured to be the same as those in other regular flights with the regular fares (Tammy). Also, as long as the airline is a certified qualified as a legitimate airline company, students will not have to worry about hidden costs during flight and if such cases arise, they can always report to the administration. However, the downside of low-cost airlines is that most of them cannot be cancelled nor refundable (Tammy). Because of this, emergency situations will be the greatest hindrance for the scheduled flight. Also, intensive scheduling is required for the students since they will be paying and scheduling for a minimum of six months ahead (Juniorsmith).
