Until one looks back on their life, it can be easy to believe we have not accomplished anything. I do not consider myself anybody of note until I list off the things I have achieved. I have overcome many educational obstacles, for example, and achieved many things while doing so. Furthermore, I have built my family while getting my education. All of these and several other things are accomplishments deserving of recognition. I have lived a life worthy of mention, and will continue to do so.
My time in high school was tumultuous, as any other adolescent’s time can be. I relished the thought of graduating and leaving that place forever during my first year, before realizing I needed to study hard if I wanted to get anywhere in life. I began to take school seriously after that. I worked hard in all of my classes for the remaining four years, and managed to get good grades. I did not like high school, because there were too many restrictions on my time, and I found the courses dull. However, I did well, and I graduated in 2006, making my family and myself very happy and proud. In order to curb my unenthusiastic tendencies throughout school, I began Karting in Dubai during this year, as well, and remain undecided as to which is my most proud achievement during this time.
Upon reentering school to get my Bachelor’s Degree, in 2013, I began a project design concerning robots for my Intro to Mechanical Engineering class. As students, we were required to enter the robots as participants in the competition two of thirty-five. For my robot, I chose to use meconium wheels. That was my first endeavor in school. My second endeavor during school was to get married and become a spouse. Today, my wife is pregnant with our first child, and in February, I will add becoming a parent to my list of accomplishments. As my education ends, I am working with a formula team, as well as enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Degree, studying abroad at FIT. We are designing and manufacturing a formula one racing car for FSAE using various methods and materials in order to ensure its speed and safety, but also ensure that it wins.
In sum, I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far. I am looking forward to the birth of my family’s first child and my graduation. I am looking forward more so to what accomplishments these events will lead to. I know, whatever they bring, it will be exciting and an adventure. Thanks to the obstacles I have faced, I am up for the challenge.
