I was awfully distressed at getting a call from the Program Director on (Date) intimating me of the recommendation of the academic committee in this regard. I would request you to sympathetically consider my plea for certain reasons indicated below.
I sincerely admit that I have committed a serious mistake by not fulfilling my responsibilities to uphold the values and traditions of this great institution. I also understand that my behavior and poor academic performance have resulted in violating certain ethics that help in maintaining high educational standards for which this nursing institute is known for. I swear that my actions that warranted my dismissal were neither intentional nor maliciously motivated; instead, my actions were the end result of a small lapse in making a right decision at the right time about my family and future career. Even though I had a tough time over the past couple of weeks ever since the dismissal notice was served on me, I am extremely indebted to you for having given me an opportunity to explain my position.
Of late, I have been going through a tough time because of certain pressing matters in the family. In fact, I was deeply challenged to simultaneously fulfill my responsibilities toward my family and studies. Even though pursing nursing education in this school was one of my top priorities, I did not wish to compromise on certain important family values and relationships. This often prompted me to take certain decisions in the interest of establishing a judicious work-life balance. I never thought my actions would lead to a performance of this stature that would warrant my dismissal from the college that meant a lot to me. Now that I have learnt certain unforgettable lessons in life, I would wish to go for it once again with determination and utmost sincerity. The fact that my family members and colleagues have guaranteed their support to me gives me more confidence to come back with a renewed vigor. I earnestly seek a second chance from your good selves to pursue my dream goal. I assure you that I would put in my best efforts to complete the program with flying colors thereby upholding the great tradition of this institute.
I simply love this campus and its friendly ambience. I believe getting an admission to the nursing course in this gorgeous campus is the best thing that ever happened to me. In fact, I am pursuing my long-cherished childhood ambition of becoming a nursing professional through taking up this program. I am still passionate about providing the best care for numerous patients and their family members. I am afraid, this cannot be possible without completing my education.
I do sincerely hope that you will consider my appeal and graciously give me a second chance. I assure you that I would put in my best efforts to pass the program with flying colors in keeping with the rich heritage of this great nursing institution.
