Dear Executives of Marvel Comics,
I feel immensely pleased in writing to you as Marvel has been one of the best publishers of comic books and continue to entertain its readers from the time it came into existence, which was in 1939. Since the beginning of your company, you have delivered great entertainment to the people through excellence and strong commitment to your work. Your company has undoubtedly given us some of the most gripping superhero stories which have kept the readers amused and wanting for more, every time they read it.
The introduction of new teen superheroes and the existing list of many heroes have caught on with the readers. Captain America, which has been one of the famous characters since 1941 continues to influence me along with many other powerful characters such as Spider Man, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man. I believe that the reason for this incredible growth of Marvel is that over time it has not only brought innovative ideas in its existing heroes but has also introduced many new characters with extraordinary powers, which further helped in creating and expanding the fan base of the company.
I have been an avid reader of the comics published by Marvel since my early childhood. All the titles that are favorites with teenagers were a source of my best past time. It is heartening to see Marvel’s successful journey which started from comic books and got introduced to the digital media where all-time favorite characters were being presented. All of the characters have excelled in their own way and have remained outstanding, especially the old characters who have existed since a very long time and have remained true to their nature. While reading your comics, one can totally relate to the characters' feelings towards hope, injustice and good winning over bad. It is interesting to know how Marvel has always been willing to take risk on creative talents and how it lets them play with their creativity, enabling them to bring their original voices to mainstream.
In the Marvel universe we get to see something extraordinary and start to look at our real world from an entirely different perspective. It is interesting to know what it means to be a superhero and what challenges they are faced with in their lives. Superheroes are given many unique superpowers, all at the same time, which makes them appear stronger and challenging such as Iron Man. This character has not just been given super strength and armor plating, but has many more abilities like making 3D holograms and creating magnetic fields; he can also fly at supersonic speeds and can project Ultra-Freon beams that emit freeze rays. And most importantly he could also shape shift into another armor or transform into a whole new group of weapons.
Inspired by Iron Man, I have also created a super hero who possesses many extraordinary super powers, all at the same time and is not restricted to just one. I have always wondered how powerful a character would become if it could have more than just one power. In my opinion, all the superheroes emerge from an important incident that takes place in their past and becomes the reason for them to fight so that they can prevent certain events from repeating in the future.
In addition to this, one of the renowned scientists, who is considered to be ‘mentally challenged’ by the rest of the world tries to help him as he is the only one who believes in him. Since the character will be made to fight alone and that too against aliens which are considered upgraded than humans, he will be given many super powers so as to bring him up to the level of those powerful and extraordinary creatures of the outside planet. Thunder Man’s history provides insight into his character and makes him the person he is today. This will grab the attention of a lot of faithful Marvel readers as the story is in sync with all superheroes but his adventures will have a new and fresh touch to it. The fight between a superhero with unusual creatures such as aliens will generate interest and is gripping for many people as they see it more challenging. Another reason for it to become a hit among people will also be the combining of fictitious characters with real world which has always got people interested.
Thunder Man is a six feet tall guy with broad, muscular shoulders and dark fierce eyes. His height and muscular body is to give a strong image of this character but his strength mostly comes from his aggressive nature and mind control which keeps him focused on what he is doing.
Moving on to the personality of Thunder Man: keeping in mind that personality is one of the key reasons to make people fall in love with the character, Thunder Man keeps a low profile; he is not expressive and sociable. Much like Superman who is described in comicvines “As Clark Kent, Superman is traditionally presented as behaving in a more introverted or mild manner compared to his super-heroic self.” In further personality traits Thunder Man hates to see people around him in fear and pain. He is energetic, quick, independent, realistic and determined; his character is not good at showing appreciation and he can get quite impatient with people who think on negative lines. Moreover, he is a self-directed person but has one downside that he gets too engrossed with achieving his goals and ideas to deal with practical realities or social niceties. Overall he is a strong character who is a bit aggressive, focused and never moves away from his goals. If we get to know the character, we will find that although he seems very strong and aggressive but he has a very soft and broken heart that is filled with terrible and tragic memories from the past.
Thunder Man’s character, his personality and his positive approach towards life makes him captivating; he is not a character that can easily be tricked or fooled by anyone and his intelligence is far more than others. In Iron Man we saw how it is important for a superhero to be witty and well prepared along with all the powers in possesses. Hence, Thunder Man is quick witted and has good intuition which makes it easy for him to sense danger around him quickly. He only believes in what he feels is true and is God gifted with the power of reading other people’s mind, so he knows exactly what other people are thinking. He is a character that hates unnecessary violence and cares for people, but is afraid of showing his feelings to others.
The readers will surely fall in love with this kind of a character because it is full of surprises and is unpredictable. His life is full of challenges and this will keep the readers intrigued and get them thinking about what the next thing is that's coming their way. His passion for human-being safety and commitment to his responsibilities (As said in Spider Man “With great powers, come great responsibilities”) makes him an enchanting character. It is very difficult to make a human superhero fight against giant creatures alone. They have to possess powers that make them look invincible in front of their enemies. As mentioned earlier Thunder Man gets his edge over his enemies through the help of a scientist who designs his weapons and makes him one of the most powerful one on this planet.
Before I move on to the superpowers possessed by my character, I would like to describe the appearance of ‘Thunder Man’. Appearance is very important as it becomes the identity of a superhero and makes them stands out from the rest. Their appearance is also an indication of what they represent; Thunder Man wears a black and electric blue colored costume which is made from material that can give electric shock to the enemies as a last resort. On top of his costume, he wears a suit that is made up of titanium to protect from harmful lasers and rays. Thunder Man has a huge cape at the back that symbolizes that the character can fly to great heights. It has several armors attached to its costume like swords that stay hidden under the cape to take the enemy by surprise. Thunder Man also wears an iron helmet which protects his skull and neck from being damaged. Furthermore, his costume can emit poisonous gas that can keep the enemies at a great distance. Thunder Man likes to fight with hand but where it is needed he uses his electrical sword or lightning gun which can turn his enemies into ashes in seconds. The costume is made of stretchy material to ensure comfort in fighting and moving around; it is resistant to electric shocks, harmful rays and cannot be torn apart no matter what. There is a lightning symbol used on the chest of Thunder Man so that people can recognize him. He can change his armor suit in fraction of a second and transform into whole new attire with the lightning symbol still on his chest. The bodysuit of Thunder Man is flexible enough to control his moves. He wears high leather boots that boosts up his speed both at the time of running and flying and enables him to move like lightning. The gloves worn by him have the ability to make electricity waves and balls which are enough to destroy or burn anything that comes into the way.
Therefore, the costume of Thunder Man is designed especially to fight against the most powerful of enemies. The weapons are also carefully designed using the latest technologies to be used in fighting the alien force. Thunder Man does not use any kind of vehicles to move from one place to another; he just thinks in his mind where he needs to be and ends up being there in a flash of a moment. The strong and bold image and appearance of the Thunder Man is surely to become one of the favorites among teens. Thunder Man possesses all the powers that one could think of; he has exceptional physical super powers such as speed, durability, super strength and has super senses like ability to sense danger from far away. Furthermore, he has control over elements like light, gravity, radiation and electricity which only a few superheroes have. He can read through other minds and move like lightning without being seen by the enemies. He also has immense strength to move heavy machinery and can bend heavy metal easily. Many readers are going to find the adventures of Thunder Man interesting as this character is made not only to fight all the time but also to communicate messages to the readers about bravery, justice, motivation and hope to make things better in life. Thunder Man can be showed as an aggressive character at times, but his agenda to protect the people from anything that comes their way makes him a hero. Super heroes have always been fantasized and admired by people as they work towards fighting crimes and guarding the people against negative forces.
Thunder Man has all the powers and can fight off any kind of negative force be it humans or aliens or mutants or any other kind of enemies. The concept is to remove fear from the hearts of the people by making them believe that their superhero ‘Thunder Man’ is there to keep them out of danger. He is one fictional character which can entertain people through his fights against the harmful things and thus can become an ideal superhero for all times to come. Thunder Man has a lot of strength, which keeps him stronger and always ahead of his enemies. But it shouldn't be forgotten that he has lived one tragic life which infuriated him at times and has made him lose control over his emotions. He has lived through a really hard time in his childhood and the fear of losing people he loves the most, still resides in him. Although he appears to be remarkably strong from the outside but his emotions are his weakness.
Although there is no doubt that each one of Marvel’s characters is excellent, I can assure you that Thunder Man will inspire many people in its own accord. His character and his story can bring promising results by attracting many of the readers especially teens. The fact that his story is unique than the others is surely going to grab the attention of many readers thus increasing your fan base. I hope you will take interest in what I have written to you and will consider Thunder Man and will introduce him to your readers to give them a chance to see how dynamic this character is. I appreciate the valuable time taken out to get to know Thunder Man.
