0ne of the questions that one should ask him or herself on this subject is what are taxes? It is fundamental for everyone to understand what taxes are and why people pay them. By understanding the concept behind the enigma, then one can conclude based on sound knowledge. In simple terms taxes is the percentage of money that the government takes from takes to support the services it offers such as security, good roads and education. Without taxes, no government in the world can function. This is because no government has its own money. A huge part of what the government relies on comes from taxes.
Personally, I think Americans are not overtaxed. According to a forty four-page report by ECA, a London based firm, America is the best country for a person in middle management to live in and earn a living. According to the report, this is because of the low cost of living compared to any other western country. According to the same report, worldwide, America is placed as the third best country to live in after taxes after Saudi Arabia and Chile. By examining the services offered in America by the government such as good road conditions, security, clean water, border patrols and a lot more, one can logically conclude that people are not overtaxed, but instead people do not love paying taxes.
Should there be a wall separating church from state? I am of the strong opinion that no; there should not be any wall separating the two. The whole foundation that the country relies on as a guide is based on the doctrines of the bible. It is a fact that America has many religions, however; it is also a fact that these religions exist together due to the harmony the constitution offers. Calling for a separation will be simply stating that the core fundamentals found in the constitution that govern the state are of no good and simply have to be omitted. It is also important to note that the founding fathers of this great nation were deeply religious, hence, the formation of the constitution.
Putting a wall between the state and the church will mean that the country has conformed to immorality and lack of respect for religion. The church represents morality ethics and truth. The fact is, almost all aspects that govern how people interact and live in America today are governed by law, which is then governed by religious doctrines, which were embedded into the constitution by the founding fathers of the country.
