Fashion has undergone constant alterations since time immemorial. People are enthusiastic with emergent apparel trends and always strive for their acquisition using means that are quite overstretching. To some people, fashion gives them a perspective of someone modeling, expensive clothing, and conceited attitudes.
Fashion has impacted greatly on our culture. The clothes we wear can help someone know more about us. Fashion is comprised of fashion makers and sellers whose major aim is to optimize their profits. Especially for ladies, scanty dressing has been perceived to be more modest and agreeable. As much as fashion can be a career, it can be perceived to be a mode of life from the sociological point of view.
The power of fashion has been underestimated. In ancient times, it was used as a way to distinguish the lower class from the upper class. Fashion has become a basis of associations, discrimination and popularity. People can attach status to certain garments commanding respect with varying extents.
Many girls have been made to believe that being thin is beautiful. Many magazines print portraits of slender girls on their cover pages hence redefining beauty. Through this, many of them have stuck to specific diets believe to either reduce fat accumulation or burn the fat. It has also initiated inferiority amongst the less beautiful with a notion that this world is meant for the beautiful. Many studies prove that exposure to search advertisements may trigger negative self-esteem and body outlook issues.
Fashion has also cultivated unique identity among individuals. People can say who we are judging from the clothes that we wear. We are able to change our identity by altering our makeup, clothing and hairstyle. Fashion has therefore become the reason to each and every perception granted towards us because looks come first before anything.
