A person can be helped to engage in behavior that would change their negative effect on their general behavior and hence thought process. There are two types of interventions that clearly describe how behaviors are changed, the association and reward. In reward intervention the desired behaviors are rewarded while the negative behaviors ere disputed. This accelerates and changes the emotions of the involved party, and consequently the thoughts. In addition, if an individual is encouraged in behaviors which they have a probability to succeed, he will be rewarded internally by his success. This success then will make him champion for the success and thus the effect on this will be a positive thought on the same.(leith pg. 120)
