Business
The organizational productivity is the progress of the organization which can be measured by considering several quantitative and qualitative measures. In the manufacturing business, there are many important departments which drive the production of the organization. Therefore, analyzing the performance of each department or cost center individually and their impact on other cost centers to improve the productivity of the organization, assist in determining the organizational productivity. For example, for the HR manager, it is very important to hire the labor which is skilled an experience in the relevant role for the specific job. Therefore, in relation to the budgeted resources, the managing, controlling and reporting of usage of resources assist in enhancing the productivity of the organization. (Root)
One of the main problem or challenge that HR manager could face in the future is that in the production industry, there is a communication gap created between the employees and the higher management of the organization. Therefore, to reduce this communication gap, it is very important for the HR manager to appoint a manager for the lower staff to communicate with the higher management regarding the resource allocation and budget process. Due to the lack of the communication, the management of the organization assigns idle budgets, which decrease the morale level of the employees. (Carter & Psy, 2011)
The shortage of funds is another main challenge for the HR manager. In case of short funds for new hiring, the HR manager must convince or prioritize the new hiring to avoid conflicts between the department managers. For example, if the production department is demanding the hiring of two engineers to maintain the machines and the welfare society of the organization is asking for the funds to entertain the employees. Therefore, in these circumstances, the HR manager must give priority to the demands of the production department to hire new engineers. Moreover, the production department manager must justify that they need two engineers instead of one single hiring. (Sullivan, 2011)
