Reflection
Effective learning styles foster productivity in the academic setting. In fact, lack thereof implies higher chances of failure in an average student as opposed to the normal occasions. I utilized the VARK questionnaire to assess the levels of my learning expertise for effective feedback. I had the highest score on the read and write section, 12. This is largely attributed to the fact that I have a high preference for reading and writing essays. Aside from that, I had a similar score of 7 on aural and kinesthetic categories. In spite of the fact that these scores are rather mediocre, it is essential to note that I have been putting a lot of effort in enhancing my performance on these fields. Finally, visual analysis was my lowest scored area and I managed to secure five points. Arguably, the genesis of this low score is the erroneous strategies I use to enforce the learning process with regard to this skill. As a result of the abovementioned scores, there is a need to embrace a more effective study plan to augment the learning progression.
Study plan
Owing to the fact that visual analysis defined my lowest score, I intend to make the most out of the remaining time to capitalize on utilization of color codes to improve the skill. This would be possible through the use of a highlighter to emphasize on the areas that need attention. Aside from that, drawing and creation of mind maps would enhance the learning process. I intend to enforce my aural performance by embracing attentiveness during class sessions, posing questions to the tutor and listening to the response given. This initiative would augment my attentiveness in the classroom thereby heightening my aural performance. The read and write techniques are pleasant but can be enhanced through constant practice. According to Dembo and Helena (204), the betterment of the reading and writing skills can only be enhanced through continuous rehearsal. Finally, I will make the most out of my kinesthetic skills by involving other parties when conducting a practical. This initiative would enhance not only my socializations skills, but also the ability to assess details with higher precision.
