What do you think of this music? Can you hear the difference between the romantic period and either the baroque or classical period?
Music that had written in different eras is referred to the period of romantic, baroque or classical. However, these musical era has been labeled as based on their historical dates. Such dates are defining the historical musical era like, baroque era was starting from 1400 and ended in 1600, whereas classical era took place from 1600 to 1700/60 and last era of a romantic period had taken place from 1730 up till 1820.
While, explaining the difference between these three musical eras is defined as; baroque is a musical beat based on highly ornate and intense beats with polyphonic and homophonic textures. The classical word is referred to music that has taken place through transitional era known as Rococo.
Whereas, mostly people misused the word by relating it with music that had played only through an orchestra. However, when we compare classical musical era that is referred to a delicacy, which symbolizes the classical music period. Also, its formation has focused towards pleasing the listener. But, when we talk about the Romantic era that was based on lyrical phrases, emotional tone, and melodious music with a continued modification are based on the theme to cover time and tempo signs of romantic music.
However, classical music is considered as one that can be referred to romantic music that is known as Rachmoninov. Also, it can appear as dramatic music as perceived by several people. Example of such music is; “Beethoven’s fifth”. But, talking about romantic music is already understood from its category. Music of Mozarts can be considered as one example of romantic music. Although baroque music is a mixture of numerous melodic lines and its highest degree is based on ornamentation.
