With such experiences, I have come to realize that the leadership traits are not only essential to the lasting integrity of the nursing practice; they also facilitate the nurses to perform better and achieve the desire patient outcomes. My professional activities have allowed me to perform effectively as a mentor, practitioner, colleague, administrator, and leader. As a Unit manager at work, I was successful in providing guidance and encouragement to my followers. I was also able to share my knowledge and skills with other staff members. In fact, I not only guided my colleagues but was also fortunate to learn a lot of practical handiness. It was always my prime objective to never underestimate or discourage anyone as every person possesses unique abilities and talents.
It is extremely significant to mention that nursing profession has tremendously polished my communication and interpersonal skills. Along with performing numerous tasks at the same time, I have learnt to make a strong rapport with the clients/patients and their family members. The establishment of such trustworthy relationships has allowed me to take care of, educate, and inform patients concerning their illnesses/conditions. On top, dealing with diverse patients has made it indeed simple for me to observe, scrutinize and record the behavior of patients. The experiences at work have transformed my personal life too as I now demonstrate more positivity, concern, and sympathy as an individual.
Furthermore, I consider myself utterly privileged that I have consulted with experienced and top-notch healthcare professionals and physicians. Under the supervision of several veteran professionals, I have successfully established treatment plans for various patients. Also, I am proficient in the operation of an assortment of medical equipment. Similarly, the performance of a variety of diagnostic tests and treatment of inconsequential emergencies single-handedly has further groomed me professionally.
As mentioned, my professional experience is not relatively extensive. However, I have learnt a lot within these years. I believe that building and maintenance of reliable and trustworthy within this field is considerably indispensable. Fairness and honesty are undoubtedly the two major values that make any organization a healthy one (Gopee, 2008). For the same reason, I want to exhibit a fair, honest, and reliable attitude throughout my career.
This nursing scholarship is really important for me as it can open many doors of opportunities for me. With the acquirement of contemporary knowledge and skills, I can turn out to be an effective and successful professional in the health care industry. I am looking forward to excel in my career as a capable, dexterous, and proficient nurse whose equally liked and appreciated by his colleagues and patients.
