Question 1
The physical resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most significant event in history since it provides the evidence that Jesus is really the Son of God who died and was able to resurrect. The resurrection thus validated the fact that Jesus is a supreme being among the mankind. Additionally, the resurrection also proves what the bible talks about since it looked at the resurrection of Jesus even before He came to earth to save the mankind. The teachings of the bible from the ancient period looked at the coming of the messiah who would be executed, crucified, die and resurrect after three days.
The teachings come to reality with the bodily resurrection of Christ thus creating the belief to the people in the society. The physical resurrection thus helps in providing teachings about the importance of the Christianity and the word of God. The teachings in the New Testament are focused on the resurrection since it symbolizes the second coming of Jesus Christ to the world. On the other hand, the bodily resurrection of Christ is a testimony to the human beings that all the human beings have to die and resurrect to live forever which is only for the righteous people in the world.
The teachings on bodily resurrection of Christ are important in ensuring that the teachings portrayed in the society today are in relation to the past. The old events that occurred in the world are likely to influence the understanding of the Christian teachings within the society today.
Question 2
Jesus’ position at the Father’s right hand has significance in relation to prophecy, authority and His ongoing ministry. In relation to the prophecy, the right hand of God has a reference to Messiah. Additionally, it also looks at the authority and power the Messiah has been given to subdue enemies. The authority given to the Messiah is supreme since there is no other person who has been granted the power to subdue enemies independently. According to the bible, the position of Messiah is to the right hand of God (Psalms 110-118).
Looking at His ongoing ministry in the world, Jesus was on the right hand of God to show the disciples that He had indeed gone to heaven. Jesus had told His disciples that He would go and send the Holy Spirit to them on the day of the Pentecost. The usage of the details ensured that the disciples were able to spread the word of God to the people and the truth about his death, resurrection and His second coming to the world.
The right hand of the God on the other hand would provide a totally different perspective to the readers. The symbolism creates the environment that the learners understand that the right hand is associated with no sins in the world. The symbolism would be used to refer to the fact that Jesus was pure and had no sin in the world thus able to sit by the right hand side of God.
Question 3
The principle given in Acts 5 verses 38-39 are meant to ensure that people follow the will of God before making their decisions in following some people. The church should also not respond to any new truth claims. The action against new truth or for the new truth will be seen after shorter period of the circulation of the truth within the society.
