Part 1:- What do you envision as the future of Public Health?
Introduction
Public health across the world has emerged from merely investigating sewage disposal systems when cholera and dysentery outbreaks occurred in Britain to sophisticated health promotion programs for diabetics; persons affected with HIV/AIDS as well as specific maternal and child health interventions (Johnson, 2006). This essay will briefly offer insights into what I envision as the future of public health in America and across the globe.
Besides, the discipline has reached the level whereby it is being classified that science of preventing disease; prolonging life by providing informed services to communities that will empower them to take better control of their health. Therefore, the future of public health must soar beyond these boundaries as it relates to offering more profound health safety interventions within the society (Chen et.al, 2006).
Conclusion
Centers for Disease Control in United States of America when perceiving the future Americans health since public health has developed immensely since cholera was destroying the world. Three challenges were highlighted that could drastically alter the way public health functions currently. They encompass taking a specific direction relevant to changing needs of our communities; funding in the presence of overwhelming health care costs and maintaining the preventative care strategies that are in operation. Addressing these three challenges effectively is the prediction for the future of public health in America and the global society ( Managed Care, 2005).

Business Address
I wish to make reference of your posting advertising the position ‘Public Health Program Specialist Series, 0685 Grade Scale: GS-11 – 15. It was noted that the job description entails directing, supervising, or performing work that provides advice and assistance to State and local governments. This letter precedes my application as a source of enlightenment regarding the qualities I possess, which puts me ahead of other applicants in fulfilling the advertised position in your organization.
My ten years (10) experience as project manager on a military base directing, supervising and performing tasks related to public health program planning and execution has afforded me a wealth of knowledge for application to this position. This project management position allowed me to interact with several governors, mayors and politicians within the state. My duties encompassed disaster planning and executing health promotion projects across the state. Specifically, after the Katrina hurricane disaster I was drafted as a specialist in the restoration planning committee to advise and manage projects designed to prevent similar occurences in that state and across the country.
Apart from interacting with state officials in designing and executing public health programs, my expertise and training collaborating stake holder support during disaster planning management, is immeasurable. It is common knowledge that stakeholders’ contribution towards public health interventions within any community is vital. However, on many occasions stakeholders’ support do not go farther than the bargaining forum and public health planners are left without funding to execute many programs when federal funds are inadequate.
During my function as project manager expert in the Katrina restoration project, I was influential in securing over 5 million dollars from stakeholders within United States of America and abroad in implementing a project that resuscitated the community. Certainly, this is in alignment with the part of your job description requiring that the candidate applying demonstrate expertise at articulating administrative matters with private and public entities related to developing, implementing; operating, administering, evaluating and funding public health activities that involves budgeting and adequately financing projects.
As an expert program director it was my privilege to engage in several feasibility studies determining the readiness of public health interventions. One such study, which can successfully be referenced, is the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District (EVRPD) Community Wellness recreation center. This organization selected my company (PROS) consulting) above eight others, which applied to conduct this project. As manager for the consulting company we were instrumental in convincing the organization concerning goals they ought to pursue in executing the study and project.
A comprehensive approach towards analyzing features relevant to establishing the venture was undertaken and PROS consulting submitted a living document that provided the organization with valid guidance for achieving both long and short term goals in a financially stabled manner. Further, PROS consulting developed the study by conducting focus group meetings, a Valery - wide statistically valid needs assessment survey, applying the most current financial facility operation techniques offering comprehensive options to the organization.
Accordingly, this position requires that the most suitable candidate is one who possesses expertise in finance management of Federal funds; or, conducting studies and performing other analytical work related to the planning, development, organization, administration, evaluation, and delivery of public health programs; or, other similar public health program work. After reviewing the foregoing work experience I am sure that you will notice that based on your specifications I can be singled out as the most appropriate candidate for this position.
