Why Millennials think it is ethical to work less to compensate for less pay
Millennials firmly believe that they should work fewer hours to make up for the less they work. Most of the younger men and women in the job industry think they are paid on hourly basis. As a result, the more they work, the higher they should be paid and the lesser they work, the less pay they should be given. The millennials believe that, instead of working for longer hours without pay in the extra hours, they should be paid less and do their part-time jobs. In so doing, they generate better income form their full-time job and a part-time job as well. It is, therefore, ethical on their side to have a part time job that creates almost the same amount of money as their full-time job. The part-time jobs provide the millennials with networking opportunities hence very ethical according to them ("Teenagers and Part-Time Jobs: Benefits, Drawbacks and Tips", 2017).
B) Why Using Personal Photos on a Company’s network is unethical
It is important that employees and the firm remain protected and every firm must have a policy that ensures internet consumption at the workplace is regulated and used for the right purpose. Uploading personal photos on a web that belongs to a company renders the company vulnerable to cybercrimes. Using personal photos could also make employees leak important information of the company to the public domain wither consciously or unconsciously. The CIO must always authorize any personal upload of files on the company’s website (Flynn, 2012).
The communication tool of any organization is its website. Employees must, therefore, respect the company’s network and only upload files regarding to work. There ought to be security policies that govern the usage of internet and regulate the consumption of the company ‘; s website. Young men need to understand the thin line that exists between professional life and persona life. Hence personal information should be uploaded on the internet using personal accounts and not the company’s account (Karake-Shalhoub & Al Qasimi, 2010).
