As it is widely known, health is not just about an absence of illness, but an overall physical wellbeing, as well as mental and spiritual health. To stay healthy and effectively prevent illnesses, an individual shall regularly undertake comprehensive assessments of his/her health. Apart from visiting a doctor, it is also crucial that he/she is able to assess his/her wellness himself or herself and conclude whether there is a need to take action.
Reflecting on the results of my most recent health assessment, I can claim that I have a good overall wellbeing. I do not feel any specific physical health issues, impacting my usual wellbeing (e.g., pains or inability to conduct some daily tasks). I feel quite fit, can walk or run for a long time and do not feel tired after workouts. In terms of mental and spiritual wellbeing, I also usually feel myself well. However, sometimes I feel I should work more to improve the state of my mental wellbeing. I would elaborate on this issue in more detail, when discussing the suggested areas of improvement.
My strongest areas are the state of cardiovascular system and overall physical stamina. I developed my cardiovascular system through intense swimming courses and yoga. When you are regularly engaged into such physical activities, you learn how to breathe in a more sustainable and organized way. Thus, you ensure that the blood has enough oxygen that is required for the efficient functioning of the heart and vessels.
Despite the fact that I feel good in general, I can still distinguish areas, where I feel shortcomings. First, despite being physically fit, I often feel frustration in mental health terms. For instance, if I cannot achieve a goal for a long time, it becomes hard for me to follow my path and, that is why, I easily refuse from the goals that I established. For example, if I do not succeed in passing an exam for the first time, it is hard for me to prepare for the second attempt. Subsequently, I often feel a burden of stress that comes from the fact that I do not cope with all the tasks I have.
So, the first thing that I would like to change in myself is an inability to achieve my goals in a persuasive manner. To do so, I require using specialized spiritual growth techniques that will help me cope with frustration and become more confident in myself. In particular, I would like to dedicate more time to meditation. Meditation does not only help to cope with frustration and stress, but provides a guaranteed room for relaxation, where I can forget about all the issues and get new inspiration.
If I manage to cope with the lack of confidence and the burden of stress, this will change a lot in my personal, academic and professional life. In my personal life, I can become more patient vis-à-vis my relatives and friends and develop more healthy relations with them. In academic terms, it will become easier for me to study and pass exams. If I study more effectively and pass all the exams successfully, I can easily find a job that will fit my professional aspirations. Persuasiveness and an ability to reach an aim are the necessary prerequisites for a good career, since serious professional work requires one to be able to persuade others and complete tasks effectively, despite difficulties.
