I believe that selfishness and indifference are terrible scourges of our time. In the modern world the problem of alienation and indifference arose very sharply. People increasingly do not pay attention to other people's pain and suffering. They do not want to help anyone, almost never taking the initiative or responsibility. This behaviour is, unfortunately, becoming usual. People put their interest first and over others to get what they want in their life.
Selfishness is a terrible disease that infected most of the world's population. The constant concern that a large number of problems, mistrust of the outside world, the attempt to protect them from the cruel reality are all causes of the spread of selfishness. For a person, it is easier to ignore and avoid negative emotions or hassle.
What are the consequences of such behaviour? Selfishness kills the soul of man. He loses the ability to empathize, to be kind and merciful. And how many people are dying daily just because of the fact that no one wanted to help? How many horror stories we hear?
I believe that everyone should look after their basic needs, whether it is their family or career choice, but they should never let greed take over their humanities. They should always look for opportunities to give them and benefit others in need. It should also be understandable that each of us may face the human selfishness. Thus, no one will lend a helping hand in difficult times when we would really need help. Therefore it is necessary to remember that sometimes our behaviour may influence someone's life and our help can save a person. Do not be selfish and maybe the world will be better!
