Why we fight is a documentary that explains the U.S agenda on militarism and why it extends its military from region to region. The documentary shows that there have been many cases where the U.S has had to intervene in order to secure its interests and to promote the American ideology, mainly the capitalist agenda. This has worked in cases where the containment of communism has been seen as a necessity and where the American military deemed necessary; it planted its roots in that region. Even though America is a democratic country, the military is one institution that has been strongest, and it needs to remain strong if America wishes to remain the world’s most powerful nation. Although many Americans might not even know why fighting is important and why America intervenes in other States and wages military coups, it still remains a fact that war and fighting are something which is inevitable. Even when the world is out of the era of world wars, there is nothing certain to claim about having a third one because every nation, including America, is working on its military. The military is an operating system for the country that helps it to remain strong otherwise other nations might overtake easily, based on the manpower and force of weapons and ammunition. America is a country that relies on fighting other nations, whichever even seem like a possible threat. This has been shown through the attack on Iraq, where at one time the public praised America but fighting on such harsh levels has actually led to the public disfavor against America because many innocent lives are destroyed at the hands of militarism. For America’s good future, it is important that such a man operates the military operations of the country who has proper background knowledge of the military and who knows of the system very well.
