I was surprised at how Andrea Johnson chose a path that was not even in our dreams. She chose to join a non-profitable organization despite being degree holder. She decided to join the Green Empowerment movement and forgot all about how hard she worked to earn the degree. Her choice to help the needy in the society shows how strong she is both in heart and mind. Being a member of the Peace Corps, she understands the objectives and bylaws of the Participatory Analysis Community Action book. Andrea said that any knowledge is important at some point in this life despite how small and useless it seems it might be the key to help a society at some point. It may be what is needed to accomplish an objective.
Andrea stated that establishing an international sustainable community (ISC) takes time. It is a systematic process which requires everybody including me to participate fully and give out what they do best. Establishing a better society which is friendly and favors all (ISC) is the chief objective of the Green Empowerment Movement (GEM).
The GEM aims at helping needy communities who have or are interested in bring up a project but are unable to find a partner who can be interested or sponsor their project. They help the community get a local sponsor. Where this is impossible, the GEM develops an organization and trains a management which can handle the community project. The organization then joins other neighboring existing organizations and together they work to attain the objectives and build sustainable development in each community. Andrea Johnson taught me that life is not just about who you are, what you want or what you see but about how much you sacrifice to help others.
