This simple organizational structure is widely used in small businesses organizations, in this structure the coordination of work is effectively structured in a small set of activities with less decision makers, who coordinate activities in a quickly and effectively manner.

The machine bureaucracy is found in mature organizations. Mature organization are organization large enough to have acceptable volume of operating work for repetition and standardization. Organizations using machine bureaucracy are old enough to be able to settle on standards to use.

The professional bureaucracy mostly used in decentralized organization that emphasizes operating level with standardization of skills. Hospitals mostly use professional bureaucracy.

Divisional form of structure is used for organizations having middle line as the key part of the organization.

E. Adhocracy
Adhocracy is used in organization with least respect for the principles of management and unity of command.

All kind of organizational structures have their own type of needs and activities cycles. The best structure is determined by the output and efficiency of an organization which are already using those structures.
