Introduction
This combination of the measures meant to create equal opportunities especially in employment in order to ensure that the minority groups are represented. The main aim is prevention of segregation of employees on the basis of race, gender or religion as well as the national origin when they apply for job opportunities. The government puts this policy in place in order to ensure equality in the provision of job opportunities therefore preventing the marginalization of such groups in the society. The Federal government legalized this policy in order to ensure that equality is maintained or enabled in the community such that all the marginal groups are well represented.( Crosby,2006) Affirmative action usually includes campaigns which relates to the provision of training, support as well as managerial programs to the employees in order to impart the necessary skills on them. The outreach campaigns, management and employee development as well as targeted recruitment are the main areas targeted by the affirmative action strategies in a bid to ensure social fairness and justice as the overall goal. The public institutions are therefore needed or required to put more focus on representation in relation to the general population of a country. The whole and different segments of the population must give full or greater percentage of representation in the public institutions. (Long, 2007) Affirmative action is therefore aimed at promoting the minority groups in the society such that they are well represented in the both in government institutions and education sector or programs. This therefore ensures that cases regarding past discrimination or persecution of the minority groups are well taken care of as well as compensated for the injustices they were subjected to. It must therefore cover the recent issues of concern mainly relating to gender concerns. (Magnus, 2001)
This has been among the major tools used to tacked issue of injustice in the nation. Every person is entitling to a fair chance despite the racial background. It impacts is well demonstrated by lot people with talents but do not get that chance for recognition but this policies in place will facilitate them realize their long awaited dream come true.
