Introduction
Affordable Care Act is a law in the United States of America that deploys the provision of health care more affordable and available to every American. It does so by focusing at the betterment of the health of common people within their reach. Barak Obama signed it on March 23, 2010. It formulates new rules and regulations for providing health to every American regardless of caste and creed. The health care provision has been the main concern of communities for a long time. Several policies have been made by hospitals and other health provision care centers. Providence of health care by licensed doctors and trained experts at affordable rates is an essential part while planning an infrastructure of health care institutions. Institutions focus on providing clinical psychology, medicine, dentistry, and public health. Institutions are trying not just to provide basic health care at an affordable rate but also making use of technology and advanced medicine for everyone to attain health care at affordable and within the reach of people .
Ensuring affordable health care by professionals at a mass level is the main objective of health care centers while making policies to be part of the system. Therefore, several health care centers are working on policy making of affordable health care. The main objective of this policy is to make health care facilities available for every individual. The health care centers are trying to provide health insurance plans for families, focusing on the affordability of advanced health care. The law ensures that every man and woman are being treated with the latest techniques at affordable rates (Birkland, 2010).
The policy is defined as a principle defined by high officials of an organization. The paper emphasizes on the policy making of affordable health care by experts. Policy undergoes a process before it is made a part of the system, while the main objectives of the policy are kept in mind. The policy process involves three main steps namely evaluation, analysis, and revision. The paper draws attention towards the policy making process and how affordable health care policy can be made and be part of health institutions. The main objective of the affordable health care policy would be the provision of affordable health care for individuals and families. The evaluation, analysis and revision of the affordable health care policy will finalize the particular policy to be part of the system. The main objectives of the Affordable health care policy are the availability of affordable health care for families, ensuring advanced and latest techniques, and deploying licensed professionals at health care units.
Evaluation stage
While making policy, objectives of stated policy are evaluated whether the stated policy meets the objectives or not. The objectives of policy should be clear and well-constructed. The evaluation stage is the first step in policy making, and it is defined as evaluating the objectives of policy to check the practicality of stated policy. Evaluation of policy makes it possible for the policy maker to decide how the policy will work once implemented. In the paper, evaluation of affordable health care policy would make it easy for a policy maker to decide whether it is easy to implement this policy or not. Providing affordable health care to families would be evaluated to cross check whether it can be achieved or not. Identification of steps that should be taken by the authorities to ensure affordable health care using advanced techniques by professionals for families? Budgets and financing of health care centers should be done accordingly. Providing latest health care for everyone requires huge resources and proper financing. Every objective of affordable health care policy would be carefully evaluated and examined .
Analysis stage
Once the criteria of the evaluation stage are achieved, the next stage in the policy process is analysis stage where certain factors of a particular policy are critically analyzed. The stage includes easy steps where policymakers verify and explain the matter in detail, analyze alternative policies, distinguish among alternative policies, and monitor the implemented policy. The resources for affordable health care would be carefully examined and analyzed. Limited resources can be a hurdle towards the achievement of policy. The unavailability of licensed professionals working voluntarily for the provision of affordable health care could be another factor which would prevent the provision of the policy. Lack of proper financing and construction of health care units everywhere can cause difficulty in implementing the policy. All these factors can prevent the implementation of the affordable health care policy. The factors which can contribute to the factors to meet the objectives of the policy include proper planning. Before making a policy to be an actual part of the organization, it should be properly planned.
One of the factors could be making sure that the proper planning of health care units in remote areas in order to provide affordable health care is being achieved. Organizing workshops for professionals to create awareness among them about importance the Affordable Health Care policy for families is. The budgeting and financing of resources is to be done at large scale. The Affordable Care Act policy ensures that it cannot deny the treatment to people with preexisting conditions. Such factors can contribute towards the successful implementation of Affordable Care Act policy.
Revision stage
After the analysis stage, policy makers revise the objectives and factors involved in the stated policy. The revision stage is defined as the final stage in the policy making a process where the policy makers carefully separate flaws from the proposed policy and make it available to be implemented. The revision stage carefully points out errors and eliminates them from the draft of the policy. Since the Affordable Care Act law ponders more on quality care than quantity care for every American, it has to make sure to be available in areas where medical facilities are poor. The revision of the policy would make sure it covers the loophole of the policies. Once the policy enters the final stage of revision, every improvement is made by policy makers to make sure all loopholes are covered. It emphasizes on the quality care than quantity care. The law also states that it will not charge women more than men, which needs revision before being part of the policy. Individuals belonging to both genders, who cannot afford proper health care, should be charged less. As mentioned earlier in the analysis stage that proper planning, construction of health care units, workshops for professional, and budgeting factors need to be revised and should be made part of the policy before implementing it .
Conclusion
Through an understanding of the Affordable Care Act law, it has been concluded that various health institutions need to make the law into policy and implement according to improve health care. Since acquiring health care facilities is a right of every citizen whether poor or rich, such laws should be made into policies to enhance health care. Health is a sensitive issue, which needs a lot more attention than it requires. The government should make sure the construction of advanced health care units to make it available for everyone. Also, the equipment should be purchased on a regular basis to make sure that every facility center is providing a sound treatment to the patients. However, the proper making of the policy is required to make sure that every health institution is adopting the Affordable Care Act law and working on it dutifully.
