This is my current resume, updated with the most recent events that shaped my educational and professional background.
Question 1
Identify two resources for future professional development, including cost, time commitment and resulting knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Inspired by the latest developments in technology and the trends in lifestyle and business that have changed how people and organizations communicate nowadays, I identified as resources for future development the Master Degree within Kaplan and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CPT) certification. Kaplan offers consistent IT development, which will allow me to comprehend complex specialization and focus on the virtual communication hardware and software programs development. I will focus on Project Management Specialization, which can be found at this link: http://www.kaplanuniversity.edu/information-technology/information-technology-master-degree.aspx. This MA Specialization will allow me to accommodate with the most recent technologies and software tools, implicitly the virtual communication systems such as VoiP. This MA program implies 20 Specialization Credits and 60 Program Credits, which means that I will have to complete 2 academic years for achieving this certification. The MA program will provide me with general and specialized IT knowledge such as Risk and Quality Assessment in IT projects and an insightful look into the project management experience. As I am working in the US Army, I will benefit of integral support for the cost of the Master Program within Kaplan University. This resource will prepare me for a role as an IT Expert or IT Project Manager, providing me the needed qualifications and theoretical and practical expertize for dealing with such vocations.
The second resource that I have identified is the CPT certification. The duration of the courses required for obtaining the certification consists of 30 hours of training and the cost will raise to approximately $250. This certification assures VoiP expertize , Data and Internet Protocol and technologies convergence. With this skillset I will increase my IT knowhow, providing me the necessary ability for performing complex operations.

Describe potential impact of the chosen professional development upon career path.
The competitiveness level has increased dramatically in the recent decades due to the economic emergence on the global market. In this context, gaining valuable expertize through certifications is fundamental for developing sustainable careers nowadays. For me, as an aspirant for the IT profession, the indicated certifications will guarantee the access to some of the best paid jobs and a smooth career development in an industry that continues to expand, advancing in new territories every day. Both certificates combined will differentiate me from other candidates and will confer me significant assets that I can utilize in my work, gaining practical expertize alongside the theoretical knowledge. My career progression will benefit of the MA in Information technology and the CTP certification, helping me to access the desired Defense Industry as the apogee of my career.
