Kirloskar Company manager changed the organization’s structure by opening different new branches within and out of the country with an aim of enhancing proper communication between separate departments through delegation of duties to the employees. Having multicultural units would be an asset to the business as a whole(Brownlee 23). By developing one vacuum room for good communication across all the new branches from the top management to the junior staffs, it will be to work together for profit maximization .
It created specialization at work and unity which enabled the company to practice different performance appraisal for the workers on the outstanding performance. This is to motivate the employees and give them a peaceful environment for performing their daily duties as they feel appreciated at afunction with the top management officials. Kirloskar firm has been facing challenges in operations of their company due to mismanagement of the internal organization’s structure such as communication barrier.
For a problem such as the one Kirloskar was facing it can be avoided by promoting frequent interdepartmental communication with subordinate staffs and theopening of other new projects externally. As a manager I would ensure all employees practice job rotation within the department, promoting one line of communication and cooperation of all staffs at all time to ensure continual improvement of the firm in the future (Kumari 25) .
In conclusion, organization’s structure is very complicated due to the internal and external factors within its surrounding. For any goal to be met in a group,a project leader needs to be knowledgeable and have interpersonal skills that will help him handle the team’s issues as they arise. An achievement on this is arrived at by assigning duties to different employees, being flexible and transparent with the line of communication to use in the company. A job evaluation is an added advantage to the realization of the objectives through setting a target and formulating ways on how to achieve them at the end of the period.
