Item 2: The Inability of Our Stakeholders to Meet the Company’s Needs Will Cost the Company Valuable Clients

As you all know, the operations team has been processing an order from Southeast Surgical Supply. Southeast Surgical Supply had asked for a shipment of one hundred operating tables three months ago, and the company was confident to deliver before December 1, 2016. However, the team experienced some challenges and will only supply thirty operating tables by December 1, 2016. The shortcoming is widely informed by the fact that the raw materials that are needed for the manufacture of the materials are not readily available in our institution. In fact, the purchasing department informed the relevant individuals that the organization was running low on high-grade steel. Subsequently, the supplies department advised that the organization should have enough stock that could serve it for about twelve months. However, the senior management overruled this decision. The senior executives insisted that company’s policy underlines that the organisation can only keep a stock of three months’ worth of raw materials. Unfortunately, the production team is likely to take the blame for the loss of Southeast Surgical Company’s business. This situation provides an opportunity for the upper management to review the financial flexibility of this organisation to promote its competitiveness.
