Introduction
The tragedy occurred in December 7, 1941 were several Japanese planes launched an attack against the United States naval base located on pearl harbor in Hawaii, which led to the killing of the 2400 Americans in a bloody bizarre. Destruction of property occurred, about 100 planes and eight battleships, the Americans were off guard since the attack by the Japanese occurred in a dramatic manner.
Pearl Harbor had great effect on the lives of the local communities since the impact that accrued due to the attack-changed kind of life people lived. Most people became more passionate after the occurrence of pearl just like the incident of the September 11 attack on the world trade center that resulted in too many sympathizers by the public (Farago, 2007p.22). The bombing displaced the local communities living around the harbor since it was no longer habitable to reside in the war stricken area. People lost their loved ones through the attack and the United States in an effort to console the families made some compensation to the survivors as their lives had changed completely. The state expected the navy to fight back but they were getting off guard and unaware of the motive of the presence of the Japanese presence at the harbor.
The American people were living in a peaceful state and were not thinking about any war, an average American on his daily tasks would go watch movies twice a week only that day that things went amiss. The attack was unexpected people had to adjust and changed the kind of things to do to improve their ruined lives, they were thinking about war in their minds but they never expected their involvement in it. Because the impacted that resulted due to the occurrence of the tragic attack that claimed 2400 lives of the American people, was a major blow to the government and the community as well. Considering the diplomatic relationship [ that the Americans had with the Japanese had been more militaristic over the past ten years , the government was still in negotiation but in the end the Japan state broke the diplomatic relationship that existed between the united states and Japan, no one in particular had interpreted the incident that would preclude war (Farago, 2007p.32).
Many changes took place after the attack of the Pearl Harbor concerning the locals and the communities. The attitudes of the Americans changed drastically, the government moved swiftly to set foot on war. The economy of the local communities affected by the tragedy, their business premises, and properties destroyed, and everything that happened was vied through a prism of the effort of the war. The attack provided a solution to the president Franklin D. Roosevelt is pressing problems, since he had gotten a solution of overcoming the opposition of the American people to get involved in the war of the Europe. The statistics collected indicated the majority of people about 80 % did not want the America to get directly involved in the war or becoming an active participant (Norton, 2001p.44)
Broadly speaking the lives of the local people and their family members felt the effect of the Pearl Harbor incident occurring and tainting their reputation in the society and bring great loss to them (Norton, 2001p.66). The effect attached to the Pearl Harbor most had a lot of concern coming from the sympathizers, which entail the strategies that are set to deal with the issues after the attack.
