Opinion about course assignments:
After a close evaluation on the course assignments, I firmly believe that there are more than one assignment which proved to be interesting to me. The interesting assignments are identified as follows: talking about architecture and ornament restoration. Talking about architecture provided immense opportunities to enhance my knowledge on architectural structures and designs. Likewise, ornament restoration was well-organized, effectively structured, as well as beneficial for various practitioners. The instructional approaches used to achieve identified learning objectives in the course inspired me to think more about the importance of learning concepts and theories on topics that were discussed. I could, therefore, look forward to applying the lessons learned in current and future endeavors. I affirm that there are lessons to be learned in each article; but some articles presented confusing and complex details. Therefore, readers, like me, find it challenging to discern the main points that the authors were contending. Overall, I learned a lot from all of the articles which enhanced knowledge on the subject of art religion.
Second part:
What was the subject matter of Shanahmah album (Book of Kings)? Analyze how the album reflects the patron’s political motivation?
The Shahnameh was revealed to be a comprehensive epic poem that was noted to be written by Firdausi, who was identified to be a Persian poet. The subject matter was extensive, as it allegedly traced the historical origins of the Persian Empire. The scope ranged from the creation of the world, up to the point where Persia was reportedly captured by Islamic forces. Concurrently, the Shahnameh was also noted to provide narrative discourses on heroic experiences of Persian leaders and kings, whose bravery and courage were inspirational to the lives of people in ancient times.
The album reflects the patron’s political motivation in terms of the techniques and strategies used to depict heroic tales, sagas, and prevailing laws. As the name of the album indicates, the Book of Kings, was a revelation of the lives and experiences of monarchy rule. As such, the patron was able to put into writing the driving forces which led people to revolt against rulers or oppose the rulers’ decrees. The album was the instrument to relay an evaluation of prevailing political system, as well as the needs and drives of people, who were governed by different rulers during pre-Islamic Iran.
