Abstract
Contemporary technologies in communication and technology has made communication much easier. With such developments, it has become much easier for people of different cultures and backgrounds to interact. This can enhance the process of global social change, as discussed in the essay below.
Global social change
Some years ago, a debate on global social change could have seemed impractical. However, things have changed and with the coming of the ‘global village’, there is nothing that seems impossible any more. Global social change can be enhanced by some factors such as training. According to the NYUWagner (2011), graduate students and fresh graduates can receive training on leadership ability and skills. They can be sharpened in research on leadership on social change, thus they can spearhead the change in their communities.
Culbert and Hill (2009) also further argue in favor of global social change. They argue that forums can be organized to bring people of different cultures together, hence enhance exchange. This process can employ the enthusiasm and vigor of individuals, especially the youth, to spark of the wave of the social change.
Individuals have a role to play in enhancing the process. First, they can have the drive for the change, hence volunteer to participate in forums that can facilitate the process (Culbert and Hill 2009). The individuals can further participate in studies that can facilitate the process, such as the study conducted by Walden University (2011) which can help to improve human and social environments through the creation and application of ideas. Individuals can simply offer themselves to participate in the process of change.
In conclusion, it can be deduced from the above discussion that global social change is actually possible. This is through the application of current developments in communication channels. Furthermore, individuals, especially the youth, can play a vital role in the process. This is through a conscious decision to participate in the forum and other platforms that can enhance the change.
