Globalization is a phenomenon in which the world shrinks and gets closer in order to trade, interact, and communicate and to facilitate other countries with mutual benefits. Therefore, I support it because it has many positive impacts on the countries that are involved in the process of globalization are immensely benefitted from it. Although it may create a few problems, but globalization is a constructive activity for the world.
The basic benefit of globalization is the allowance granted to various countries to trade with one another and to generate revenue from their activity. The only reason that almost every developed and developing country in the world has a McDonalds in it; a fast food chain that was once only in America has been made possible because of globalization. (Gunders 8). The trends followed by various countries are now common amongst many countries because of globalization. The food and products that are manufactured only in some countries are exported and sent to other countries in lieu of cash. In this way, America, for instance, can enjoy food and fruits grown in other countries which cannot be grown in America. (Gunders 3). Similarly, American products and services are imported to the rest of the world. Exporting and importing is done in billions and it is helping countries to progress and prosper. It also encourages the growth of Multinational Corporations (MNCs) and this help to establish prominent brands present in one country, to spread and establish in multiple numbers of countries. (Gunders 10). The most popular Coca-Cola Company and Pepsi are examples of MNCs which generate revenue in billions of dollars because of globalization and their prevalence in almost every country in the world. (Gunders 10). Trade agreements are a major part of globalization that helps to lower the tariffs on exports and imports and encourage trade amongst countries. (Gunders 12).
Therefore, globalization helps to lower incidences of war and enmity and help bring peace and closeness amongst countries on the basis of trade and spread of businesses. It encourages countries to adopt friendly relations and exchange their raw materials, products and businesses which help to generate revenue and allow countries to prosper and grow.
