Proposal to Speak at Annual City Festival
Governor
555 First Street
Colorado Springs, CO 80909
Dear Governor Smith
As you are aware each year on the first Saturday of September, we hold the Annual Festival of Colors which is an event where all of the business owners come together displaying samples of their food, clothes, or other products to make the community aware of what their businesses offer. All food or items are given away or sold at very low prices with the proceeds being donated to the homeless shelters, the United Way, and the Salvation Army. This is the city’s way of giving back to the community in a positive manner that all people can see and take part in.
On that evening at 7pm, a lecture is given with a main speaker who will deliver a speech relative to the benefits of the community coming together to improve the business relationship of the community as well as to aid people who need assistance. We would like for you to be that speaker and to share with the community all that you have contributed to the state as our Governor. We believe that the positive attitude that you have brought to the office as well as the support that you have been able to receive from the military and veterans within the state will benefit not only the community but the state at large.
Please note that you can choose any subject that you feel would be of benefit. This is an event that has always been a positive influence on our community. We also know that you have made many accomplishments for our state over the past year to include the legal sale of marijuana for medical and recreational purposes and have also ensured that crime has been reduced by over 5 percent in the past six months. Revenue for the state has increase by $16.6M in the past six months. You have also endorsed raises for teachers and aided in the approval of security at all local schools just as you promised you would. These are measures that have benefited the state as well as our community and have shown that you are devoted to the betterment of the people.
Ms. Kelly Spears will be your contact should you need any other information or if you should have any suggestions to improve the present plans for the festival. Her contact information is as follows:

Thank you,
Gena Smith
