Today I will bring the topic that is called the hot topic of the town, and that is whether the Pope Francis’ actions taken to help the poor and in regard to capitalism is worth accepting or not.
First of all I would like to put some light on the Pope’s life. Pope Francis’ is a Pope of a new era, with new and revolutionary ideas in mind. He is a man with a simple life, loving to be friendly with people, kind. These qualities are making him different from the previous Popes. Pope Francis’ requested the United Nations to come forward and help the poor of the world and at the same time criticized the capitalism and requested the governments to redistribute the wealth to ensure the proper help to the poor.
Pope is right in his views and speech. Social and economic equality is the right of every citizen. One should not gather all wealth at the expense of poor in the community. One should not die for being poor. Economic stability and equal distribution of resources are the main points on which a good community is known. If there are vast disparities in the living standards of people of the country, the government should resign. The government is to serve the people not to serve themselves.
Pope Francis’ made a very clear point, and I agree with that point. That point demonstrated by Pope Francis’ is that no one should be killed by the inequalities in economy, inequalities in wealth distribution. According to the Pope, the news are spread very quickly when the stock market comes down by just two points, but there are no news if an old person dies of poverty. How can one have so much of food that they even throw it after consuming, and on the other hand there are people who are starving? For them a small piece of bread is worth than a big restaurants and high class buffets. With the passage of time, poverty increasing, unemployment is at high rate in the world, people are finding themselves very close to the walls where they are bound to live in depleted conditions.
Poe Francis’ is very right in pointing out these issues. I am in favor of the policies pointed out by Pope Francis.’ The economic growth, free markets will bring justice in this world to the suppressed people of this world. By criticizing Pope’s arguments, does not mean that Pope Francis ‘had said something wrong. Pope Francis’ views were criticized by Rush Limburg, an American radio host. According to Rush Limburg, the Pope should not criticize the capitalism and should not advocate Marxism (Murdock). As criticized by one of American host, Pope Francis’ clarified himself by saying that Marxism is a good theory and Capitalism is not criticized by him as well.
Global capitalism has a very negative impact on the overall economy of the world (Trappman). As capitalism encourages the accumulation of wealth in few hands leaving others deprived of necessities. Secondly the productions and investments are also concentrated in few hands with the purpose of not spreading to every level of people. One of the greatest negative impacts of global capitalization is the increase of a debt. The induction of credit cards and for the promotion of any product globally large amount of money is spent. So this expenditure is like a trap and thus increasing debt and at the same time increasing poverty and creating biased emotional setup.
So I conclude my points with the agreement of Pope Francis’ speech. According to his speech, accumulation of wealth in few hand sis getting dangerous day by day and poverty is increasing at an alarming rate. These issues should be addressed by the United Nations and Governments.
