In June 2014, I graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering something that has so far inculcated in me the desirable skills, attitudes, and experience required in the competitive technological world. Besides, I have decided to further my studies by undertaking a Masters Degree in Aviation. In this regard, the University of choice that I believe will enable me achieve the best out of my career is none other than Lynn University, Florida USA. Concisely, my decision to apply to Lynn University is supported by unlimited result-oriented facts and reasons. I will, therefore, utilize this paper to identify and avail almost all the possible reasons that have prompted my interest to be part and parcel of Lynn University fraternity.
Firstly, Lynn University is a multifaceted higher institution of learning (Lynn University, 2015). The university not only offers a variety of relevant courses but also takes an interdisciplinary approach to the teaching-learning process. The learning activities and various programs offered at Lynn are not only designed in such a way that they are accelerated, but also to prepare a holistic individual. In fact, I believe this is one of the crucial determinants, which many students use in choosing institutions of learning. Academically, Lynn focuses on quality and productive career preparation. The institution takes into account and puts into practice all sorts of learning style and academic interests while still offering student friendly tuition fees. On the same note, Lynn University also plays a pivotal role in strengthening pre-professional training with the sole purpose of catering for individual difference. Thus, I am confident that by joining Lynn University I will be in a position to sharpen and add value to my engineering skills. Such is also supported by the fact that Lynn enables every learner to expand his or her intellectual horizons (Lynn University, 2010).
Apart from that, Lynn’s cultural environment is not only inspiring but also drives learners towards achieving their academic goals in the long run. The institution has many academic organizations and clubs. For example, there are various cultural and international clubs and religious organizations that aim at instilling the spirit of international consciousness and spiritual well-being respectively (Lynn University, 2010). In addition, Lynn University enjoys global cultural diversity brought about by responsible stakeholders from over 85 countries across the world. As a result, the presence of an international community is a clear indication that both students and staff benefit a great from the global culture. Furthermore, Lynn encourages equality in all dimensions of life at the personal, communal, national, and international levels; the University hosted a very successful presidential debate in 2012, a feat that very few institutions can achieve. Students from various nations around the globe often fit perfectly well in the institution. In essence, Lynn University is the hub of human equality. For this reason, I will exploit such a conducive learning environment free from bias to achieve my set goals and academic objectives (Lynn University, 2015).
Very simply, Lynn is a sociable institution that facilitates interactions through musical activities. The university usually organizes for concerto competitions annually and weekly music performance. As an individual interested in music, I believe this will serve my career and extra-curricular activities right. Nevertheless, Lynn is one of the Universities across the world that is known for being music conservative since its inception 1962. Based on the above-highlighted facts, Lynn University is a more of a social entity that works to develop and enhance learners’ self-efficacy. In this case, the institution applies the definition of self-efficacy coined by Bandura in 1986, “people’s judgments of their capabilities to organize and execute courses of action required attaining designated types of performances” (Bandura 391). In a nutshell, I am applying to Lynn while looking forward to succeeding based on the favorable socio-cultural, and academic environments ate Lynn University.
