DISCUSSION BOARD
Religion and faith are personal things. People choose what they believe in. The level and depth of their faith differ depending on their background, attitudes and environment. Some choose to believe in what they are told is true, so religion becomes a universal explanation and solution for their issues. This is implicit faith, an anachronism for a thinking and educated though religious person. But there are individuals who prefer to question what they are expected to believe. They perceive religion with common sense; realize core aspects and doctrines of it. Such faith is reasoned, people understand what they believe in.
God is a superior power, the basis of the cosmos. He is not a person in flesh but energy of the Universe. God offers choices and allows people to live according to the given rules. Faith in God is faith in the Universe and its laws. Jesus Christ is a prophet who taught people, introduced them to the core of Christianity (Rigelhof 1998). He is a historical person. The Bible is a historical document, the source of knowledge (Fresh Looks at the Bible 2006). Mastering it allows understanding the essence of our life and its laws people are to follow.
