One should always learn from experiences of other, the mistakes others make, avoid them, adopt whatever positive things they do while public speaking. Goals should be identified by a person that what he aims to achieve by making this speech, or talking about this topic. The mind should be predetermined to success. Moreover, a person should strongly believe that he/she will be successful and last but not the least practice should be done so frequently that literally every opportunity should be availed.
Confidence is the most important and significant part of any sort of communication process. There are some of the ways to develop confidence. The facts regarding the fear of speaking in public should be known to a person. Speaker should have a grip on whatever he/she is going to say and should predetermine his mind to success, and remain confident that he will be successful.
Speaker should act confident, being nervous would make things go wrong, public speaking needs confidence. Try to eliminate fear by preparing it first in front of your close friends or friend or family members, whomsoever one is comfortable with
Effective speaking always catches the audience’s attention and prevents them from getting bored; the way a person delivers his message is the most important part of the talk. Make sure you are excited and interested in the subject that you’re going to talk about Eagerness to share the talk with listeners should always prevail
Those subjects should be chosen as a topic of the speech regarding which you have full knowledge. The topic you are talking about you should relive feelings or moments about it, in short, feel whatever you are saying. Act and be very enthusiastic about whatever the topic is and regarding performing in front of the audience. Nobody likes a dull and a boring speaker
Always keep in mind the interest of the listeners in the topic. Avoid stuff that makes them bored. Honest and sincere appreciation about it. The audience should always be a partner in the talk, as in the session should be interactive. Connect with the audience well, make them feel comfortable and, approach the topic in a modest manner
The shell of self-consciousness should be crashed down. Never try to copy others, be yourself. Converse with your audience. Speak your heart out.
An example should be given of your own, for instance some incident from your life should be told to deliver the message that otherwise could be planned to be given through a speech. The point should be clearly stated that what you want the audience to do. And most importantly the logic behind what you are telling them, should necessarily be there, the audience should be told all the benefits and reasons which they may expect.
ways I’ll use these methods to enhance my public speaking:
Firstly, I would use the above stated effective communication tips to introduce the Speakers/guests if I get to host the show or ceremony. Or while Accepting and Presenting Awards at a function or ceremony. Secondly, when I prepare talks they get longer than the usual allotted time, so this would help me organize my talk. Thirdly, I would apply the task of practice on myself. Fourthly, to develop confidence I would try speaking in front of my close friends or family members first. Moreover I would use the tip for keeping the voice pitch not just constant but high and low. Sixthly, to make it interactive I would always chose a topic of my own interest so I can engage the audience with me and enjoy myself too.
Seventhly, staying precise and to the point Is something very difficult and which I had not really followed previously so I would enhance my communication skills through that. Eighthly, Usually I get nervous and start panicking or become nervous I just learned how that can hinder my communication skills. Ninthly, just learned how telling one’s own life experiencing makes it so memorable for the audience to remember the talk and the content. Tenthly, The speed at which you talk is very important and I really need to work on that usually I talk too fast so now I would prefer keeping speed balance
