Humans share a similar biology but are unique in their inherent traits. Personality being an integral part of human being is inextricably related to the uniqueness and purpose of human’s existence. Uniqueness or "Unicum" originally mentioned in Latin represents something exceptional in its kind. So what is the primary reason for all the human beings' diversity and difference? Each human has a unique personality, sees an object from various prospects and reacts to the same situation with a different attitude. Identity is the crucial factor that makes humans diverse.
One of the most modern approaches considers the personality as the bio psychosocial system. The basic way to explain this approach is considering that personally is influenced by the following three factors psychological, biological and social. Therefore, the obvious answer to the question about what social sciences would help see the differences between people and animals and find the reasons for people's diversity are psychology, biology and sociology. These disciplines are more likely to answer the question because they all look at the living being from a perspective of the peculiarities that people inherit ( biological factor) and that people gain (social factor) as they go through life.
First of all, the psychological factor will include memory, attention, emotions, way of thinking and suchlike. The differences in these characteristics are pretty easy explanatory. According to Beato (2010) the genetics is the key to finding the answer. Moreover, psychological factor is what makes a person an individual. The next obvious question would be what is an individual? According to what most people believe, an individual is an indivisible entity, often one among many others of a similar kind. These words prove the uniqueness of the inside world of each person. It is well-known that the biological factor consists of all the outside differences, which are eye color, heights, weight, hair color etc. This factor brings up the scientific study of inherited variation which is also called genetics. Even before people came out to the world, there were some traits that were unique and specific only to them. It is also known in the biological field as a human genetic variation, the genetic differences both within and among populations. Early studies of human diversity showed that most distinctive genetic diversity was found between individuals rather than between populations or continents. All in all, biological factor proves that no two humans are genetically identical. Following this, it is difficult to overestimate the role of the social factor. The most suitable definition is that the personality characterizes the individual as the member of the society. Formation of a personality is a process which does not come to an end at a certain stage of human's life, it lasts constantly. The identities are constantly shaped and refined by the conversations they have ("How and why we communicate with others," n.d. ). Therefore it is obvious that every person has a specific way of communicating.
Human is just one of the life’s existing forms on Earth, but the special thing is that it is extremely exclusive. People can make a deliberate choice and decide, for example, which path to go in life. They can clearly communicate with each other, have feelings and emotions. On the other hand, other living beings, rather than people, are always in unperceived state. Animals usually live by the law of nature obeying the instincts. There is no doubt about the sociological differences between people and animals. Animals do everything to serve their biological needs. The concrete, practical thinking of animals makes them dependent on a specific situation. Only in case of the focused manipulation an animal is capable of solving problematic tasks. However, thanks to abstract and logical thinking a person can foresee coming events and act consciously. Mentality’s difference of an animal and a person also consists of feelings. Animals are capable of enduring only positive or negative emotions, but only a person can sympathize, enjoy the pictures of nature and experience intellectual feelings. People have considerably developed through the centuries. Life of the modern people strongly differs from the life of primitive people. Therefore, the animal’s way of living has faced little evolution since they first appeared on planet Earth.
The obvious conclusion to be drawn is that even though there are so many things that unite people and make them stand as one, each person is absolutely unique in everything he does.
