Free Etsu Campus Event Essay Sample

I recently attended an East Tennessee State University event that was held on 27th August 2016 at the campus Center for Physical Activity CPA front yard. The event was held to celebrate the successful musical career of renowned country music star, Billy Carrington. Since his debut, the music star has scored a staggering nine number one singles in the country music industry. To celebrate his remarkable achievements in country music, ETSU organized a major concert which was very successful because we not only enjoyed ourselves but also learnt a lot.
The event was entirely organized and sponsored by the ETSU Student Government Association. SGA is a student-led group on the campus, and it planned for the event very effectively. The event commenced at 7 p.m. till dawn, and therefore had no significant impacts on the standard university program. It was a one-time event that saw Billy Carrington make a sterling performance, leaving the audience yearning for more.
In conclusion, the event had myriad benefits to the students that constituted the audience. First and foremost, we had an extraordinary opportunity to meet and interact with the popular music star Billy Carrington. This is on top of enjoying his all-time hits as he performed live. We also had a chance to learn about his career progress, from how he ventured into the scene, and how his successful journey was. We learnt a lot from the star, and the most notable virtue he instilled in us was to be confident in ourselves and pursue our interests in life. He also insisted on the importance of perseverance and not giving up, attesting that these are the qualities that made him prosper in his dream career. It was a very memorable experience, and I look forward to attending a similar event in the future.
