Product Adaptation Example in the Global Market
The example of product adaptation is the Red Bull energy drink; it is a product of Red Bull Company. Red Bull is designed regarding packaging; the product is differentiated in different places through packing this done for the drink to meet the marketplace needs in a country. The package and the features of the Red Bull vary depending on the countries globally. The function of the drink is to boost the energy of the individuals when it is needed mostly used by athletes. In comparison, the North American Red bull and the Chinese red bull differ regarding the package. Moreover, in North America, the several colors in the product have different meanings (Cuyvers 255). For instance, red is a symbol of bravery, silver a sense of ripeness and while blue represents peace whereas China, the red symbolizes luck and gold riches and joy. The reason why the packaging differs in different countries is because they want to fit with the culture of the people in the countries.
Factors That Lead to the Differentiation of Red Bulls packaging In Different Countries
The reason of different packaging is for the customers’ likings; this is done so that the Countries get the feeling that the product belongs to them and suite with the country. Also, the different packaging is because the company wants people to have a sense of freedom for each and every states operation (Cuyvers 258). Also, it is created to meet the cultures of different countries. In conclusion, Red Bull Company is an excellent example of a company that has used product adaptation correctly which is suitable for it enables the company’s product to be differentiated in each and every country where the product is distributed.
