Part one: The video
This video was developed in the aftermath of Charleston shooting in South Carolina. The racially instigated shooting occurred at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. A total of nine people died including the state senator. This video identifies racism as America’s original sin and emphasizes on the need to call racism what it is (Moira Productions 1). There has been deliberate attempt to downplay racial segregation in the United States despite the vice occurring, albeit in subtle forms. The video reports that racism is exists in America and call for honest discussion into the problem that has confronted the country for far too long. The video recalls that cases of shooting on the basis of race have increased since the current president, Barack Obama, took an oath of office. White extremists have killed many blacks and subjected to squalor and poverty.

The essay will explore the ways of confronting the problem of racism and whether the justice system can be streamlined to live to its purpose.
